Just for today I will not anger

There are 5 principles of Reiki and one of them is "Just for today, I will not anger". When you think of it, if we can get through today without anger, we really are serving ourselves for the better.  


The human body can store anger and this often accumulates in the sacral chakra area. This is located in the lower abdomen, below the belly button. When we encounter anger or any emotion, it is important to be able to FEEL the emotion. When anger comes along, there are a few things that we can do.

1. Get a pen and paper and write out all of the anger just for one or two minutes. Get pissed off! Put it all onto the piece of paper, FEEL the angry words as the anger energy comes out of you, and then burn the paper to release that energy.

2. E - motions are simply Energy in Motion. Emotions need to move through us. Another way to get anger out of the body is to punch something - not a person or a wall (don't even go there) - Think of boxing bags or pillows. Punch, scream, swear if you must. Let it all out. This can be done when you're home alone. People don't need to see you getting angry. The idea here is for you to release anger from your body. You don't need an audience for that 😉

3. Another way is to call in your Spirit Team, place your hands over the sacral chakra and ask Reiki to calm any anger for your Highest Will and Good. Reiki has an intelligence of its own and when people are attuned to Reiki, energy certainly does move!
