Do You Have A Morning Routine?

Hey guys, do you have a morning routine? I'm curious.

We went away on a holiday and it was amazing. We had access to the gym, to the pools, to the beach . . . so I made a routine out of it.

Every morning I'd get up and I'd go down to the gym and work on the treadmill for half an hour.  Next we'd do some touristy stuff. Then we'd go to the beach and I'd do a bit of sun baking and read my book and every afternoon we'd hop in the spa all together as a family and swim in the pool.

We did that every day we were there it was those same 3 things that I did. It was amazing and I loved it and then when we got home I thought to myself "I've gotta get a routine"

The routine at home that I used to have was waking up, grabbing the mobile,  checking email, checking Facebook and then going to have a coffee.

I didn't feel energised. I didn't feel pumped up for the day. That was just a routine, a habit. A routine is a habit and that was just a habit that I got stuck in for quite a while. 

But I have started a new routine and it's been going really really good. At home I get up in the morning, I don't reach for the phone. (giggles) I consciously leave it there and I go out onto the verandah and I meditate for 25 minutes. (I have added a video about it below)

I do that in my pyjamas on the verandah, and then I'll go in and get changed into some workout gear and then I do a half hour session with The Fitness Marshall on Youtube :)

I'm curious. What is YOUR routine? Do you have a morning routine and if so, what do you do?

I'd love to add some Tai Chi to that as well but I have to take Tai Chi classes first - lol - baby steps hey. 

I mean, if we get up in the morning and get into something that energises us and makes us feel good - and these things have been making me feel really good - and the days just seem a bit more easier you know. Definitely more peaceful and not so rush rush rush in the mind. I've really let go, especially with the meditation. . . and with the exercise yeah. Who would have thunk it ;)
